As a central nonprofit agency for the New Mexico State Use Program, Horizons of New Mexico provides comprehensive statewide support to foster the development of contracts for New Mexicans with disabilities, community rehabilitation programs, and public bodies.

NEW MEXICO STATE

The New Mexico State Use Act, 13-1C-1 NMSA 1978, is an outgrowth of the state’s continuing efforts to expand opportunities for its citizens with disabilities. The Act opens state service contracts to persons with disabilities, including business owners and entrepreneurs, without requiring them to competitively bid for those contracts, provided the services are offered at fair market prices. This program is under the oversight of the New Mexico Council for Purchasing from Persons with Disabilities.
